I built a special relay box (the smaller box) that automatically lights the guideposts and the trailer's brake lights any time I put the car in reverse. It comes in VERY handy when backing in the dark, especially since the car's brake lights normally reflect off the load and prevent me from seeing anything behind the front edge of the trailer (only the trailer's brake lights light up in reverse... not the car's...).
