Having to deal with Washington DC traffic on a daily basis, I felt compelled to try out a navigational aid so I could watch the road and still find my way. A Garmin Nuvi 650 fit the bill quite nicely. I eventually chose this mounting location so I could hide everything more discretely. In some areas, thieves will break into a car if they even see a "halo" on the glass or dash which indicates that a suction cup mounted navi was removed for storage. My solution can hideaway with no evidence. :-) My current navi is a Nuvi 1300LMT with lifetime map and traffic updates.
