Here's a head-on look at the ham radio control station. The meter to the left of the stereo is an "FT Meter" by LDG. It's a special meter designed for the FT-857D. It features a 2.5" meter face with calibrated scales for signal strength and discriminator reading on receive, and power output, SWR, modulation, ALC action and supply voltage on transmit. I cut mine up so I could mount it into the dash where it currently sits. The backlight is connected to the headlight dimmer circuit.
